Position Description:
As a Cabinet Finisher at Lloyd’s Custom Woodwork, you will be responsible for finishing custom cabinetry and millwork for some of the most prestigious homes in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will use your finishing expertise to bring our clients’ visions to life, while also contributing your creativity and problem-solving skills to ensure the highest quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years of finishing experience in a woodworking environment
- Disciplined, self-motivated and organized
- Punctual, professional ethics and positive attitude
- Pro-active and takes initiative
- Understand and effectively carry out written procedures
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Proficient with math for measuring & basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently, but willing to respond to critical feedback
- Continuous improvement oriented
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Work around machinery with moving parts
- Typically work in Plant and have exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, and excessive noises

- Learn proper maintenance and safe use of plant equipment and machines
- Keep tools and work area clean and maintained
- Return all tools and other items to designated areas daily
- Keep all cabinet parts organized for reassembly and to pack and load
- Learn and use Time Tracking Software to maintain accurate labor and material records
- Learn and use Huddle Tracking Software to share your ideas and issues
- Follow timely production start, stop, and break times
- Learn procedures for picking & returning materials on computer
- Accountable for safety of self and others
- Learn and follow all company policies and procedures
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Work in Finishing Department of Manufacturing Plant
- Read CAD drawings
- Understand differences of oil base vs water base and use with paints and conversion varnish
- Match stains and glazes, etc.
- Use a variety of precision measuring tools such as scales and coatings thickness gauge
- Use required finishing tools such as spray guns, pumps, sanders, etc.
- Store and protect work-in progress and completed work
- Create samples as necessary working with team to carefully document the steps and specifications of each sample so it is repeatable
- Keep an organized samples library, both of physical samples and written documentation
- Empty various waste bins and wet waste barrels and dispose of all finishing materials per protocol
- Perform other duties, including working in other areas as required, to meet the mission and goals of the company
